Installation
When heat is applied to the sleeve wrapped around a joint, the adhesive melts into a liquid state while the sleeve backing starts to shrink. The radial shrinking force of the sleeve presses the fluid adhesive into all the uneven surfaces of the pipe, as the sleeve closely conforms to the joint's shape. Upon cooling, the adhesive solidifies, forming a strong bond between the pipe and the coating.
