The structure of 3-layer PE coating (3PE)
3-layer PE anti corrosion coating consists of three layers:
1. FBE (Fusion bonded epoxy) coating, FBE>100um
2. Adhesive layer, 170~250um
3. Polyethylene layer, 1.8~3.7mm
The three layers are integrated and firmly combined with the steel pipe to form an excellent anti-corrosion coating.
Advantages of 3-layer PE coating
The three-layer polyethylene anti corrosion coating combines the excellent properties of epoxy coating and extruded polyethylene layer: the interface characteristics and chemical resistance of epoxy coating and the mechanical protection characteristics of extruded polyethylene layer. Therefore, it is very superior as the outer protective layer of buried pipelines. After rigorous scientific testing, the three-layer PE coating can make the life of the buried pipeline reach 50 years. At present, it is recognized as an efficient external pipeline anti corrosion technology in the world.
Steel pipe with 3-layer PE coating (3PE) is widely used in pipeline systems for the transmission of oil, gas, water and other fluids. They have high resistance to corrosive from chemicals, moisture, harmful environment etc.
3-layer PE coating working process
Upload pipes→screw conveyor→rust removal → intermediate frequency heating→Epoxy powder coating→Adhesive & polyethylene coating→cooling spray→pipes screw conveyor→Pipe end beveling→unload pipes
